Aydan and Ansley have officially finished 1st grade and had a GREAT last day of school.
The day began with and Awards Ceremony in Chapel. Aydan was awarded the Always Gives His Best Award and Ansley the Ravenous Reader Award. They both made the Principal's List for the entire year. Aydan won 1st place in all four Field Day events and Ansley 3rd place in the 50 yard dash and 2nd place in the shuttle run and standing broad jump. There are no good pictures to show for it. They both got their awards, tucked their head and walked back to their seat as quickly as possible. We are so very proud of the young man and lady Aydan and Ansley are both becoming and feel very honored to be their parents! I don't know what we did to deserve three such amazing blessings, but we are incredibly thankful we have been blessed enough to share in their lives.
Then . . . . . the fun began . . . . . the first grade was treated to a pancake party and FINALLY got the answer to their year long question of How old is Mrs. Thomas? With the help of the 1st grade math whizzes they solved Mrs. Thomas' math problem she promised for the last day of school.
That was followed by a fun fillled hour of water games with all of the other kids in their school.
What a great way to end another amazing school year.
